For the love of a Dad.........

Good grief have I been away THAT long? I had planned that my next post would show all you very patient ladies out there my new sewing room, sorry but I promise they will be posted within the next few days. I'm not sure if I told you guys but when I went home in March to visit my family my Dad had a heart attack my second day there. On Monday I received a phone call from my Mum telling me that while my Dad was at Tai Chi he had another attack & was rushed by ambulance to hospital. On Wednesday he had tubes placed through his groin up into his heart & dye inserted to see how blocked his arteries are. Yesterday he had a camera inserted down his throat so the doctors could check out the back of his heart for any blockages. (Sorry both these have names but my brain seems to have a major block today) The outcome so far is that he has the surgeons stumped! If my Dad was a diabetic they could understand why he keeps having these attacks but he thankfully does not suffer from diabetes's. He has been wearing a patch since Monday which gives him a shot of Nitro Glycerin every time he has an attack, yesterday he had 3 bad attacks & another this morning. I have just got off the phone to my Mum & Dad the surgeons have now decided to fly them up to Wellington next week to have a MRI done of the heart as the results from the tests done yesterday show 3 tubes badly blocked, nerves in the wrong place & something on the heart which his specialist who has NO bedside manner at all said could possibly be cancer. After the MRI is done he will be having a bypass operation. I have spent this week painting any & everything in sight, find when I am upset or on edge it helps to relax me. I think the concentration needed stops my brain going over the bad stuff yah know??? Ok have to go the tears are coming again......
