*The Ode*

This post is dedicated to all the New Zealand & Australian soldiers (The Anzac's) both fallen & returned..... without these brave boys, some 14 years of age when they went off to the *Great War* we would not know the meaning of FREEDOM............. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.... Anzac Day to me is a day of Gratitude..... a day to give thanks for living in a free country........ a day to remember those that returned never to be the same as when they left their beautiful shores........ a day to remember those who did not return ....... for the Mothers, Wives, Siblings & Children of the missing & fallen........

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old,

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn,

At the going down of the sun & in the morning

We will remember them.

~I THANK YOU FOR MY LIFE~

BEAUTIFUL LYN!

...I've been a bit emotional about it all today, maybe specially cause I've been thinking about my Aunty who served as a Nurse, she passed away a few years ago - boy oh boy did she see some horrors!

We will never forget!

A great post. We attended the Melbourne Anzac Parade today. An amazing experience, my son who is in the Army reserves marched.
